Fred Becker, Licensed Professional Educator, Director of Becker

Becker brings to Encourage over 34 years experience
working with adolescents and parents as a classroom instructor,
special projects trainer
and program director. He has developed
a life skills program “Psychology of Effective Living” for the San
Diego Unified School District,“How
to Develop A Self-Reliant and Responsible Child,” a course for parents, “How
to Develop A Self-Reliant and Responsible Student,” a course for teachers.
His
presently instructs programs for “Behavioral
Management” An
author of three books, Fred has won numerous awards, including “Outstanding
Educator” from the San Diego business community and “Educator of
the Year” by the San Diego Chamber of Commerce. |

Debra Levinson, Speech-Language Pathologist, Educational
Therapist, Author
Debra has a
private practice in Northern California where she treats children,
adolescents and adults who experience challenges to
learning
in traditional classrooms. She has worked intensively with juvenile
offenders and gang members, and she recognizes the invaluable
impact of
positive parenting on children's future success, happiness and

Corrick (Parenting Therapist), Children's Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry,
Marriage and Family Intern
Beth is a member of the staff at Children's Institute of Behavioral Health, providing
comprehensive mental health and psychosocial services to children and their families
within a full-service pediatric medical facility. In my job as a bilingual (Spanish)
therapist at Children’s Outpatient Psychiatry, I see many instances of
children brought in for issues around anxiety, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder, problems at school and problems with appropriate interactions with
peers and
siblings. Many of these issues can be ameliorated through structure.

Deirdre is a
Resource Specialist Supervisor responsible for making placement
decisions regarding juvenile offenders, maintaining relationships
with current residential and community based programs, and
researching potential programs that can provide additional services
to the
population served in the least restrictive environment and/or
within their home setting with wrap around services. She is
seeking better solutions to benefit families within the homes
of our present
day problematic youth and avoid outside placement by implementing
a hands on easy to use system that teaches youth values, respect,
and responsibility.

Hilary is
a Speech Pathologist in private practice in northeastern North
Carolina. She is interested in new and innovative
ways to support the development of the children receiving services
through her facility. Children with language disorders often
have significant
difficulty with the ambiguity of "rules". And, parents of these
children have even further difficulty explaining and reinforcing
them. |
