Your parents aren't crazy, they are just stressed out! Parents are happier
and treat their teens better when they meet their expectations. But sometimes,
they're not even sure what their expectations are! Being a teen can be tough.
Rules are hard to follow when they are always changing. When you know the rules
of the game you can play to win!
EasyChild isn't just a way for parents to make their teenagers behave
better and do their chores. With EasyChild, teens are encouraged to work
with their parents and to have a say in what they think is fair. When parents
make
decisions together with their children about expectations, rewards, and
privileges, teens are far more likely to agree to the rules and live by them
because they
know what they have to do to get what they want.
Do you think you should be able to stay out later with your friends?
Do you think you deserve more allowance, or more time to do the things you
want to do? Let your parents know these things and work together to decide
what you're willing to do to get it. Would you be willing to get all your homework
done if you could stay out later? Would you be willing to be nicer to a brother
or sister to get that new video game? Would you be willing to do a couple extra
chores to earn extra allowance? Would you be willing to keep your room cleaner
in exchange for more privileges? Most teens say "Yes!"
Every teen wants to have a car someday. It is just part of growing up. If you are saving up for a car or just want to show your parents that you are responsible enough for a certain privilege, EasyChild can be just the thing you need to convince your parents that you deserve it and more!
With EasyChild's printed Point Sheet, you can keep track of how you are
doing. Each time you do something that earns you more points, mark it
on the sheet. You'll know just what to do to build up enough points to get
the privileges
you want! And if you do something wrong, instead of being unfairly punished,
grounded, or having your things taken away, you'll simply lose some points.
You can then make up those lost points in other ways.
- Have a say in what's fair and what the rules should be!
- No more changing rules or not knowing what to do or not do.
- Tell your parents what you're willing to do and what you want in return.
- No more unfair punishments or being "grounded."
- No more fighting with your parents.
- Show them that you deserve the things you want!
- Stay out later and spend more time with your friends!
